StockCalc Privacy Policy

1. Scope and contact

This policy applies specifically to the StockCalc app for Android and iOS. Craft Innkeeper LTD is responsible for its privacy practices. For questions or privacy requests, email admin@craft-innkeeper.co.uk with the subject “StockCalc privacy”.

2. Information used on your device

StockCalc performs calculations offline. Your calculator expressions and results, calculator history, stock inputs and selected mode are processed and saved locally to provide the app's features and restore your work when you reopen it. We do not receive or upload this information. No StockCalc account or sign-in is required.

The app accesses the clipboard only when you choose to copy or paste. Clipboard content is used for that action and is not sent to us. StockCalc does not request access to your location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone.

3. Google Play and the Apple App Store

Google and Apple handle app distribution, updates and any store payment directly under their own policies. They may process account, device, download and transaction information to provide those services. We do not receive your store password or payment card details, and StockCalc does not access your Google or Apple account profile.

The only store information we use is information Google or Apple makes available to us as the developer to provide and administer the app, such as download totals and, where applicable, purchase or entitlement records. It is used solely to distribute the app, provide access and handle store-related support or required accounting; it is not used for advertising or profiling. The current app has no in-app billing or remote purchase-validation service.

Platform processing is separate from collection by StockCalc. Your device's backup settings may also allow Google or Apple to back up local app data; we do not operate or access those backups. See Google's Privacy Policy and Apple's Privacy Policy for their handling, retention and controls.

4. No logging, advertising or third-party collection

StockCalc has no activity or diagnostic logging service, analytics SDK, advertising, tracking, or third-party data collection service. We do not collect device identifiers or monitor how you use the app. The locally saved calculator history is a user feature, not a usage log. We do not sell, rent or share your calculations or personal information with advertisers, data brokers or analytics providers.

5. Retention, security and deletion

Local history, stock inputs and preferences remain on your device until you clear or replace them, or remove the app's stored data. Use the history clear action and each stock tab's Clear action to erase those entries. You can clear app storage in Android settings, or delete the app and its data on iOS. Any platform backup must be managed separately in your Google or Apple backup settings. There is no StockCalc account or server copy of your calculations to delete.

Local data relies on your device's app storage protections; protect your device with a passcode and current system updates. StockCalc does not transmit your calculations to a server. Any necessary developer access to store information is restricted to authorised personnel and protected by store account security. We do not create a separate customer database from store information. Store records remain subject to the platform's retention rules; any record we must retain for support or legal accounting is kept only for that purpose and the required period.

6. Contacting us and your choices

If you choose to email us, we receive the address and information you include so we can respond. This is separate from data collection by the app. Please do not send payment card details or sensitive stock records. Support correspondence is retained only as needed to resolve your enquiry and meet any legal obligations, then deleted.

You can contact us to request access, correction or deletion of personal information you have supplied, or to raise a privacy concern. Where applicable, you may also object to processing, request restriction or portability, and complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office or your local data protection authority. We cannot access or erase data held solely on your device or in your Google or Apple account; use those services' controls.

7. Children and policy changes

StockCalc is a practical stock and arithmetic tool. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app. If you believe a child has supplied personal information to us, contact us so we can address it.

We will publish any changes to this policy on this page and update the date above. If app data practices change, we will also update the relevant store disclosures and provide any notice or consent required before introducing the change.
